What to see and do in Southampton

Take in the famous view of Chantry Island and historic lighthouse. Ride bikes to get around the small town or walk the boardwalk to experience picturesque daily sunsets along the beach. Southampton situated in Saugeen Shores has over 40km of trails & 18km of waterfront to explore. Only 20 minutes to Sauble Beach, the largest freshwater beach in the world. In addition to beaches it also boasts being a bird watcher’s paradise! Or for the more adventurous discover Saugeen River and canoe or kayak down it. Paddleboard on Miramichi Bay or cycle the beautiful lakefront or forest trails throughout Saugeen Shores. Take in the summer magic of the Sunset Piper piping down the sunset on Friday nights, stroll down the board walk to see all the antique cars on Thursday evenings or walk up to Fairy Lake for the free Sunday night concerts from the bandshell. Check out Keady Market on Tuesdays – one of the largest outdoor antique/fruit/vegetable markets in Ontario. Southampton is 2.5 hours from Toronto from the 401 West through to ON-21 North.

From London it’s also 2.3 hours via Bruce County Road 3

From Kitchener it’s 2 hours taking Regional Rd 86 to Bruce County Road 3
